I’m Daniele, a yoga teacher in Bologna, a Thai massage practitioner and a guide in movement and body awareness. I started practicing yoga in 2007 and I have been teaching since 2015. My path is not a straight line or a collection of techniques, but a long conversation between breath, weight, space, curiosity and rest.
Over the years I have studied and practiced across Italy, India and Thailand, combining Hatha Yoga, AcroYoga, Thai Yoga Massage, YQuan, Tai Chi and Qi Gong. This gives me a broad, grounded and very concrete way of working with the body, both in one-to-one sessions and in group settings.
A Yoga Teacher in Bologna with an International Background
My practice became intensive between 2007 and 2015, when yoga moved from being something I did “on the side” to a central part of my life. I completed my ISYCO teacher training between 2012 and 2015, and in June 2015 I received my formal diploma as a yoga instructor. In the same period I travelled to India, where I deepened my practice and my understanding of what it means to live inside a body rather than just “use” it.
From 2017 onward I added Thai Massage to my path: first in Italy, then in Chiang Mai in 2018, and later in Bangkok in 2023 at the Wat Po & Chetawan Thai Massage School, where I studied Oil Thai Massage. These experiences abroad helped me explore different traditions from the inside and brought more precision, listening and clarity into my work as a yoga teacher in Bologna.
I also spent ten years training in YQuan, Tai Chi and Qi Gong with Chinese masters, often in intensive summer retreats with up to eight hours of practice a day. This shaped my sense of grounding, softness, emptiness and fullness, and how I understand the flow of movement in everyday actions.
My Path Through Yoga, Thai Massage and AcroYoga
My yoga practice is inspired by the lineages of Iyengar, Viniyoga, Gérard Blitz and Pattabhi Jois, all students of T. Krishnamacharya. From these traditions I have learned attention to alignment, breath-based adaptation, inner quietness and the importance of practice as something personal and alive. I do not copy any one style; instead, I integrate elements from these schools to support each person’s specific body and situation.
I teach Hatha Yoga in Bologna, Thai Yoga Massage and different forms of Thai Massage, combining structural work, fascia and joint mobility with deep listening and clear boundaries. Since 2016 I have practiced AcroYoga, and since 2018 I have taught it, including creative partner work and AcroYoga Montreal influences. In 2022 I completed the AcroYoga Montreal Teacher Training (Level 1), which gave me more tools to play with balance, shared weight and intelligent progressions.
My sessions can be calm and therapeutic, or more intense and strengthening, but always with the same principles: safety, consent, clarity and respect for the person in front of me.
Teaching Style and Philosophy
I don’t see yoga as performance, nor as a mystical promise. For me, practice is a space where we can explore the body in a real, verifiable way. Doing and not-doing have the same value. Pushing and resting, effort and softness, fullness and emptiness are all part of the same conversation.
My teaching is sensorial and non-violent. I avoid rigid instructions and fixed shapes. Instead, I invite people to explore different options, to repeat movements with small variations, to feel how the body responds, and to notice how posture, breath and attention influence each other.
I’m not interested in making students “fit” into an idea of ideal flexibility or strength. I’m much more interested in helping them find their own way of moving, their own stability, their own adaptable form. I like working with imagery, with the idea of moving like a cat or resting inside effort, and with simple, grounded explanations that can be tested in the body.
Yoga Classes in English for Expats in Bologna
Living and studying abroad has made me comfortable with international environments. Over the years I have worked with many expats living in Bologna and other Italian cities. I regularly offer yoga classes in English in Bologna, as well as Thai Massage sessions and AcroYoga guidance for foreigners who feel more at ease with an English-speaking teacher.
My English is clear and simple, and I pay attention to pace, repetition and visual explanation, so students from different countries and backgrounds can follow without stress. Whether someone is new to yoga or has been practicing for years, I adapt the language and the progression of the practice so that they feel supported rather than overwhelmed.
If you are an expat looking for a yoga teacher in Bologna who can guide you in English and meet you with patience, clarity and respect, you will find a safe space in my classes and sessions.
How I Work with Individuals, Couples and Groups
I often work one-to-one, especially in Yoga Therapy and in Thai Yoga Massage, because it allows us to listen more closely to what the body is saying. In these individual sessions I can integrate yoga, breathing, movement, Thai Massage techniques and simple daily-life adjustments, depending on what the person needs.
I also work with couples in AcroYoga and Thai-inspired partner work, focusing on communication, consent, weight-sharing and mutual support. In small groups, whether for Hatha Yoga, AcroYoga or movement classes, I keep the environment non-competitive and non-performative. The aim is not to be “the best” in the room, but to feel at home in your own body.
I am particularly attentive to people who feel shy, “not flexible”, “not sporty” or who have had uncomfortable experiences in other classes. My intention is to build a practice that is truly theirs, at their pace, with their needs fully considered.
Practice with Me
In Bologna I offer Hatha Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Thai Yoga Massage, Thai Massage, AcroYoga sessions and small workshops. I also collaborate with companies, gyms and associations for classes, events and body-based projects.

The goal is simple and demanding at the same time: to help you inhabit your body with more ease, clarity and confidence, and to find a way of moving that feels like it really belongs to you.orked with many expats living in Italy, especially in Bologna, offering classes and sessions entirely in English. My teaching style is clear, accessible and easy to follow for international students, even for those who are new to yoga or movement practices. If you are living in Italy and looking for a teacher who can guide you with precision, gentleness and understandable English, you will feel at ease with me. My experience abroad and my long-term practice across different cultures allow me to support people who come from diverse backgrounds and need clarity, sensitivity and a steady guide.
My goal is always the same: to help each person find their own practice, their own way of moving, their own balance between effort and rest, their own way of inhabiting the body.
